The opening concert of the 11th big.band.festival 2026!
This year we present to you two regional big bands in one concert:
The first notes of the festival in big band sound will resonate this year with the LEKO Big Band.
A jazz orchestra based in our state capital Graz, featuring young, dynamic, and highly dedicated musicians led by the band’s leader and drummer, Lena Kovalchuck.

Sigi Feigl with Big Band Graz Süd
Under the direction of the grandmaster of orchestral jazz music, Sigi Feigl, they will perform with their current program “Latin from Manhattan” – a fireworks display of big band jazz and Latin rhythms.
The ensemble invites the audience to an extraordinary concert evening that combines the complexity of modern jazz with the pulsating passion of Latin American music.
The concert is the perfect choice for anyone who wishes to celebrate both the sophistication of modern big band jazz and the vitality of Latin music.
