In the Kunsthalle Feldbach, there will be a joint exhibition by Verena Preininger and Sarah Sternat in February. The opening will take place on Friday, February 6, at 7 PM, and the exhibition will be on view until March 8 (Tue to Sun 11 AM - 5 PM).
Under the title "Poetics of Assistance," the two artists present multimedia works from the fields of sculpture, painting, and ceramics. They explore and question the theme of "solidarity" through materiality and form language – poetically, tragically, and sometimes absurdly. The audience is invited to sense the multifaceted meanings and rethink them. "We live in a world that is ceaselessly in motion. Nothing remains stable, everything seems to waver." And: "We want to piece together what constantly threatens to fall apart," say the artists. Verena Preininger focuses on painting, performance, ceramics, and land art. Sarah Sternat is a performer, visual artist, as well as a costume and stage designer. Both graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and are actively involved in the collective Club Fortuna.
