Soul Jazz, a jazz-based style with strong blues and soul influences, is characterized by groove-oriented rhythms and warm sounds. The Boogaloo, which emerged in the early 1960s in New York, combines R&B/Soul grooves with jazzy improvisations to create an irresistibly danceable attitude. On this evening, these music styles – Soul Jazz, Boogaloo, Soul, and Funk – will be celebrated and honored with the top representatives of the genre in the thermal spa town of Bad Radkersburg. The unique combination of Hammond B-3 organ, saxophone, and guitar creates a dense, earthy timbre in which blues, funk, and jazz elements merge into a lively, physically palpable joy of playing. This makes the concert a standout highlight in the Styrian cultural calendar and an absolute must for all soul and funk fans.
