„LÖWINGER – A Look Back“ A special afternoon in the name of Austrian theater history.

At its core is the memory of one of the most famous theater families in Austria and their significant contribution to Austrian folk theater. On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the Löwinger stage, visitors can expect a diverse cultural afternoon with personal memories, historical film and photo recordings, as well as special insights into the history of the Löwinger family. The program is complemented by musical contributions and participants from the region.
 
In addition to the stage program, an exhibition in the foyer invites guests to discover original memorabilia and historical treasures. The event is aimed at both long-time friends of the Löwinger stage and anyone interested in Austrian theater history and living cultural heritage.

For Anton Nöst-Löwinger, the event is a personal labor of love: “As the grandson of Sissy Löwinger, it is a great concern of mine to keep the memories of my grandmother and the cultural heritage of our family alive and to share it with as many people as possible.”
With “LÖWINGER – A Look Back,” the aim is not only to remember the past. It is also intended to make the significance of the Löwinger stage visible for Austrian folk theater and to preserve this cultural heritage for future generations.
