For over 20 years, Christian and Kerstin Schilcher have been passionately and innovatively running the Gourmet Atelier Steirerhütte. The focus is on a cuisine that combines traditional Styrian inn culture with modern gourmet cuisine – creative, authentic, and consistently regional. Selected ingredients from the region are used, including house-smoked ham from Hinterberger Sau and fresh-caught Ausseer char. A particular highlight is the dry-aged steaks, which are refined in their own aging cabinet and grilled to perfection in the Big Green Egg – an experience for discerning connoisseurs.

The hut impresses with a stylish ambiance and a sun terrace open year-round. Due to its location on the edge of the village, directly at the cross-country skiing trail and the Salzkammergut bike path, it is also an ideal culinary stopover for active vacationers.
