This impressive mountain bike tour in Ausseerland starts right at the Loser Arena, the valley station of the Loser Bergbahnen cable cars. From there, the well-maintained Loser Panoramastraße climbs steadily for nine kilometers to around 1,600 meters above sea level. Perfectly suited for e-bikes, but also easily manageable with a normal mountain bike or road bike.

The route offers fantastic views of the Ausseerland Salzkammergut and is a prime example of a mountain bike panorama tour. The continuous ascent on asphalt ensures an even load and makes this route an unforgettable experience even for beginners and leisure riders.

Whether early in the morning, during the day, or as an after-work outing, this route is a highlight at any time of day. The panorama is at its most spectacular at sunrise or sunset. Once at the top, the views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Altaussee invite you to linger.

Emergency Reporting Tip - Provide answers to the six W questions:

  • What happened?
  • How many injured?
  • Where did the accident happen? (possibly GPS coordinates)
  • Who is reporting? (callback number)
  • When did the accident happen?
  • Weather at the accident site?
A few tips for safe biking:
  • Before and after each bike tour check the air pressure, spoke tension and brake pads.
  • The helmet belongs to every tour.
  • Consider in advance what equipment you need: warm clothing, rain and wind protection, repair kit and first aid kit belong in the backpack. Also a charged cell phone.
If you haven't had enough after the mountain tour, you can still hike to the Augstsee (about 15 minutes walk), Loserfenster (about 45 minutes walk) or Loser summit (about 1.5 hours).

Ideal for anyone looking to enjoy nature on a bike and who prefers a moderately challenging route. The tour can be combined wonderfully with other mountain bike routes in Ausseerland and is a must for any mountain bike holiday in Ausseerland.
