The best way to get to Altaussee is to plan with google.at/maps.

The Augst Trail in Altaussee offers around three kilometers of pure riding fun on unpaved paths—ideal for trail lovers who want to combine mountain biking holidays in Ausseerland with action. The perfectly maintained trail is suitable for both classic mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes and offers a variety of sections in a beautiful natural setting.

The start is at the Loser Ski Arena car park. The tour begins with an approximately five-kilometer climb along the paved Loser Panoramastraße to the marked starting point of the trail. From there, the actual single trail begins, winding its way downhill through several natural sections with flowing passages, tight hairpin bends, and small bridges.

The trail is divided into four sections:

Schusterwald section: 905 meters | Difficulty: medium

Simakehre section: 759 meters | Difficulty: easy

Hiasnwald section: 831 meters | Difficulty: easy

Moosgraben section: 731 meters | Difficulty: easy

The route ends at the underpass of the Panoramastraße. From there, the last section leads back to the starting point on asphalt.

This mountain bike trail tour offers both beginners and experienced bikers the ideal terrain for a fun descent with a view. Combined with the Mountain Bike Panorama Tour Loser, it becomes a sporty overall experience.

Tip! If you don't want to make the climb yourself, you can also use the new Loser Panorama Cable Car, which comfortably transports not only hikers but also mountain bikers and their bikes to the mountain station. Bike transport is included, making the tour particularly convenient. Depending on your individual needs, different ticket options are available, from single trips to day passes for multiple descents.

Free parking is available directly at the Loser ski arena.
