At the western beginning of the Lake Grundlsee, the swimming area Holzplatz/Seeklause is located right where the lake transitions into the Grundlseer Traun. Its location makes the Holzplatz a good stopover for activities around Grundlsee. Walks and hikes along the lake can be combined here with a swimming break, offering new views of the landscape of the Ausseerland repeatedly. There is also a stop of the Via Artis Artist Path directly at the swimming area Holzplatz/Seeklause.

Just a few meters away is the dock of the Grundlsee Shipping at the Seehotel Grundlsee. From here, boat trips across Grundlsee start, which are part of the popular Three Lakes Tour to the Toplitzsee and Kammersee. In addition to the dock, an ice cream can also be enjoyed at the Beach Café Seelaube.
