The rustic hut Loserhütte at a proud height of 1,540 meters above sea level tempts with a large sun terrace and a dreamlike panoramic view over the entire Ausseerland region. At the local mountain of Altaussee, the distinctive Loser, both summer and winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy a relaxed stopover with a stunning view all the way to the Dachstein Glacier.
Leave the everyday life behind in the valley is the motto: As a tip for the regional delicacies cuisine, hospitality and sociability at a high altitude is on the agenda at the alpine hut Loserhütte. High above Altaussee, Styrian specialties are served here. In summer, the Loser Hut is a regular meeting point for live music.
Located directly on the mountain Loser, amidst the Mountain World of the Ausseerland region, the Loser Hut is a destination for all those seeking the next adventure, as well as those who want to relax and enjoy good food with a breathtaking view. Situated directly at the panoramic road Panoramastraße and the ski run of the Loser Ski Area, the Alpenvereinshütte - Alpine Club Hut is the ideal starting point for summer and winter sports enthusiasts both in summer and winter. Before or after one of the many hiking trails and tours on mountain Loser, relaxation and refreshment await in the Loserhütte.
In the cozy hut, there are accommodation options available in the dormitory. Bus groups are also welcome, and special celebrations are gladly arranged, as the Loser Hut can accommodate up to 80 people.
For a relaxed, comfortable journey, the ride with the panoramic cable car Loser Panoramabahn is just right. From the mountain station, the Loserhütte can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot heading downwards. After the break, the journey can continue back to the mountain station or downwards to the intermediate station of the Panoramic Cable Car.
For hikers, there are three ascent options to the Loser Hut. Departures start directly in Altaussee next to the church, or at the valley station of the Loser Panoramic Cable Car. As the third option, hikers start at the Blaa Alm, and each hiking path leads directly to the Loserhütte. After a well-deserved break on the large sun terrace or in the cozy dining room, the hike continues towards the Loser Summit or to the impressive Lake Augstsee.

After the ride with the Loser Panoramic Cable Car, the Alpine Club hut is reached in about 15 minutes on foot, heading towards the valley. After resting, the path can be continued back to the mountain station or downward to the intermediate station of the panoramic cable car.
Outside of operating hours, access is conveniently possible by car via the toll-required Loser Panorama Road.
