classic alpin in concert
A musical journey of experience in the open air is offered at the concert with classic alpin at lake Augstsee on the local mountain Loser. At a proud 1,600 meters above sea level, the concert provides musical sounds amidst the mountain world of the Ausseerland region.
What happens when musicians from the Vienna Volksoper come together with an established folk music trio? It creates “classic alpin”. The ensemble initiated by Renate Linortner combines flute, strings, and harp with accordion and dulcimer. The exceptional arrangements by Sigi Lemmerer make classical music and alpine music seemingly flow into one another.
In the midst of the special mountain scenery at the local mountain of Altaussee, the distinctive mountain Loser, visitors can expect a special musical experience at the Augstsee lake stage at the eponymous lake Augstsee at an airy altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level.
A demanding concert afternoon full of shades of color, flexibility, and pure joy of playing awaits the listeners on this wonderful summer day in the Ausseerland region.
The ascent is comfortably done with the Loser Panoramabahn cable car to the mountain station. From there, the stage at Augstsee can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.
