Personal impressions and experiences from travels to Ukraine are the focus of this evening. Jörg Hoffmann, Johannes Daxner, Hans Fuchs, Vitali Bodnar, Herbert Riess, and Adelheid Picha report on encounters, experiences, and the challenges of a country in transition. In conversation with Prof. Peter Rychlo from the University of Chernivtsi, cultural and societal perspectives will also be highlighted. A contribution from Hubert Gaisbauer, as well as the musical arrangement at the piano by Johannes Daxner, complement the program and create space for exchange, understanding, and reflection.
An Austrian-Ukrainian cultural project is currently entering its final phase. Numerous individuals, including fantastic artists, were part of this event, which was held under the motto “Respect, Tolerance, Recognition".
