Villa Straussengut
Information
The holiday apartment is located about two kilometers outside the town center of Bad Aussee in a quiet area.
The Villa Straussengut was first documented in the 15th century under the name "Marshallgut". The namesake of the house was the farmer Franz Meyrl, alias Strauss, who managed the estate around the turn of the 18th to the 19th century.
Later, the villa was an inn; it was not until 1937 that Emil and Christine Osterley took over the property and ran the house as a guesthouse, where many personalities from the Salzburg Festival were guests. Well-known composers such as Wilhelm Kienzl and Karl Böhm were also among the guests of this famous guesthouse.
For rainy days, there is a historical skittles alley in the Villa Straussengut, and for romantic evenings, a fireplace. Additionally, in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut, there are many opportunities to spend the day. Whether experiential, sports, or recreational vacation - there is something for everyone here.
