Travelling by train is fun and easy – especially if it’s together with your schoolmates! Simply hop on, get comfortable and enjoy the marvellous landscape. Whether you arrive from Austria or Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia or Hungary: Thanks to the extensive railway network, Styria is easy to reach by train from all directions.
The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) even offer discounts of up to 60 per cent for students travelling with the “ÖBB-Schulcard (school card)”. Accompanying adults go free. What’s more, online tickets and seats can be booked online free of charge with the card.

Thanks to Styria’s excellent motorway connection, Styria is also easy to reach by bus. Many attractions and hotels have special parking spaces for busses that are usually free of charge.

Getting from one attraction to the next in Styria by public transport is easy and inexpensive. For instance, the Styrian transport association (Verbund) offers special discounts for groups.
