Mountain church Tauplitzalm

This small mountain church is not equipped for regular services, but is primarily intended for vacationers staying on the "Alm". The architect Kurt Weber-Mzell also designed the modern church in Weißenbach in addition to the mountain church on the Tauplitzalm.

The church itself resembles a tent, expressing the idea that humans are merely passing through this life on Earth, and that true life begins in heaven. The striking gable shape of the church is comparable to a mountain. After all, it is a mountain church.

Upon entering the church, attention is immediately drawn to the grand window that fills the front completely; it symbolizes the Holy Trinity. The colors become lighter towards the top, thus indicating the resurrection.

Linoleum is the material of the floor, while the altar area features a wooden floor, and the rectangular wooden altar adapts to the church's form. On the altar stands a cross, designed in glass like the window.

Notably, there are no ambo (lectern), tabernacle (storage for consecrated hosts), baptismal font, or sessio (seat for the priest and altar servers), as this church is meant solely for mountain services. Additionally, a spiral staircase leading to a sacristy in a basement is characteristic of this church. The arrangement of the pews is continuous and without a central aisle.
