The best way to get to Altaussee is to plan with google.at/maps.
In Altaussee there are numerous paid parking spaces available. The nearest parking lot to the starting point of the hike is the parking lot Seeklause, parking lot Scheichelmühle or parking lot Kurhaus.

The short loop runs along Lake Altaussee and through shady forest passages. The route is easy to walk, varied and offers beautiful views and nature experiences along the way.

You start at the Seeklause Altaussee. Initially, the trail runs along the lakeside promenade towards the Strandcafé. After the boat huts, the path branches off to the right and continues along a well-maintained gravel road.

Above the campsite, the route runs along the road for a short distance before turning right again after about 20 meters. From here, a natural forest and root path leads back to the Seeklause.

This tour is particularly popular with families, as it is not only easy to manage with children, but also offers plenty of variety - from the lakeshore to the forest path.
