Leisurely winter walk, the Toplitzsee is the destination. Classic stop at the fishing lodge at the Toplitzsee.
A winter hike on cleared paths. Between Gasthof Veit and Toplitzsee the path is illuminated, but occasionally car traffic is to be expected.

The trail leads from the parking lot at the Rostiger Anker inn along the lakeshore past the bus stop to the old schoolhouse. From there up to the upper village of Gößl, with a view down to the village church. Through the village, past the "Annerlhof" and on to the Gasthof Veit. Then along the Konrad-Mautner-Weg and past his monument further to the Toplitzsee.
Cross the Klaus bridge over the outflow of the lake, continue to the Archduke Johann monument and via the so-called Reith path back to the starting point.
Dinner at the fisherman's cottage with advance booking. Johann Lafer claims that there is the best char.
Large parking lot at the Rostiger Anker inn. Free of charge in winter.
Inn closed in winter.
