Winter mountain hiking at the Knödl-Alm/Hochalm guarantees a very special experience!

Pretty much between Bad Mitterndorf and Bad Aussee you will find the romantic high-altitude winter hiking trail of the Ausseerland. It leads directly from the Knödl-Alm (parking lot/snowshoe rental) uphill.

If the weather situation permits, a trail is tracked all the way to the Talalm. For the entire length (about six kilometers) special condition and equipment is required. Josef Schmied (Tel. +43 676 596 61 63) is responsible for the grooming of this section, who will also provide more detailed information.
