Winter Hiking & Snowshoe Rental Knödl-Alm

The winter mountain hiking with snowshoes around the Knödl-Alm and uphill to the Hochalm on Knoppenberg promises a truly special mountain experience amidst a magical winter landscape.
Located between Bad Mitterndorf and Bad Aussee not far from the Ödensee , there is a romantic high-altitude winter hiking trail in the heart of the Ausseerland Salzkammergut. The groomed path begins directly at the Knödl-Alm from the parking lot and invites you to slow down.
If the weather conditions allow, a path will be groomed up to the Talalm. For the entire length (approximately six kilometers), special fitness and equipment are required.
Accessibility is weather-dependent.
