How do I get to the Steinbrecherhütte mountain hut?
The Steinbrecherhütte at the Ödernalm mountain pasture can be reached via various hikes. The hut can be reached by foot from the Tauplitzalm, or via a trail starting in Bad Mitterndorf or from Grundlsee via the Schneckenalm mountain pasture. The hike from Tauplitzalm to the Ödernalm is recommended, where a varied and scenic hike awaits along three stunning mountain lakes.
Visitors can easily reach the starting point of the Tauplitzalm via the Tauplitz 4-seater-chairlift or the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road.
The hike to the Steinbrecherhütte at the Ödernalm can be extended with an ascent or descent to Bad Mitterndorf or Grundlsee, or with a detour to the Grundlseeblick.
