Bad Aussee is known as the geographical center of Austria and offers many recreational and entertainment opportunities.
The municipality is located in the northwestern part of the province of Styria, in the district of Liezen and consists of four Kastralgemeinden with a total of eleven villages.

Altitude: at 641 meters above sea level is the train station and at 659 meters above sea level is the spa park in the center of the village
The municipality's citizen service is located on the first floor of the town hall. The lost property office is also located in the same building.
