A happy place for the soul.

At any time of the day, the area around the Seewiese attracts many strollers. The view over the lake to the Dachstein is unique.

The Jagdhaus Seewiese or the Tauroa Seewiese Altaussee invite you to take a break.  

With the solar ship, a comfortable return trip over the lake to the boat landing Madlmaier can be chosen.  

Photos & videos

From May to October, the Seewiese can be reached on foot via the promenade path or by the solar ship of Altaussee Schifffahrt.

In winter, the promenade path (Kaltenbrunn to Strandcafe) is closed due to rockfall and avalanche danger.
