SCHÖNI-Alm

The Schöni-Alm combines traditional charm with modern comfort and invites skiers, snowboarders as well as winter hikers to enjoy a delicious stay. At an altitude of 1,550 meters, the alpine cabin is directly on the ski slope of the Mitterstein lift in the Tauplitz ski area. In nice weather, the spacious sun terrace with a view of the mountain world of the Tauplitzalm invites you to linger – ideal for a relaxed break in the winter sun.

As a certified Kulinarium Steiermark cabin, the Schöni-Alm stands for regional quality and authentic Styrian cuisine. The menu offers a selection of hearty dishes such as cheese noodles, savory soups, crispy salads, and homemade strudel. There is also a well-stocked wine and beverage menu. A special highlight is the fondue evenings with Styrian folk music, which are offered during the main season.

The Schöni-Alm is also ideal for private celebrations or corporate events. It is easily accessible via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road by car or bus.

The cabin is operated by the SCHÖNIS-Landhotel in Bad Mitterndorf, which has also been awarded by Culinarium Steiermark for its stylish à-la-carte restaurant. Guests can expect regional cuisine at a high level, seasonal specialties, and Styrian hospitality: an ideal culinary conclusion after a day at the cabin.
