Municipal library and ludotheque

In the heart of the historic center of Bad Aussee, right at the traditional Chlumeckyplatz, the city library & game library invites you to browse, play, and discover. The Kammerhofmuseum is also located in the same building – a special place where literature, play, history, and culture intersect.

With around 8,000 media, there is a diverse selection for young and old: books, audiobooks, movies, games, and magazines provide entertainment and inspiration for every age and a variety of interests. All media can also be borrowed.

Whether it’s a cozy reading hour, an exciting game for the whole family, or a cultural detour while strolling through Bad Aussee – the city library & game library is a lovely place for anyone who wants to take their time to discover.

The central location makes a visit particularly uncomplicated and can be beautifully combined with a walk through historic Bad Aussee or a visit to the Kammerhofmuseum. On Thursdays in summer, the weekly market with regional products from the area takes place right at the doorstep.
