Imperial Stable in Grundlsee

The Imperial Stable is located in the district of Mosern in the municipality of Grundlsee in Styria. The historic building dates back to the 16th century and was part of the so-called "Imperial High Forest Authorities." It served as a stable and storage building for the fishmaster at Grundlsee and later for livestock management by foresters on both shores of the lake.

Since 1987, the building has been owned by the municipality of Grundlsee. The Cultural Working Group Grundlsee has been using the Imperial Stable as a venue for readings, exhibitions, and cultural projects since 1992. Thanks to extensive renovation as part of a LEADER project, the historic monument has been carefully restored and adapted for its current use.

The Imperial Stable is accessible only during events. Visitors can expect an architecturally appealing space with an authentic atmosphere that allows for cultural events in the special ambiance of the Ausseerland.
