Water flying meeting of the Model Water Flying Association Lausitz
Airplanes have always fascinated people, whether they are large machines of aviation or detailed model airplanes.
Particularly appealing are the rare branches of model flying. The Model Seaplane Club Lausitz e. V. passionately dedicates itself to model seaplanes. The interplay of technology, precision, and takeoffs and landings on water makes this special form of model flying a unique experience.
The Schneider Trophy Model Aircraft Competition at the Leisure Center in Gößl by the Grundlsee is aimed at all pilots who own a flyable replica of an original aircraft from the period of 1914 to 1931. The focus is not on maximum speed, but rather on adhering as closely as possible to the scale speed of the original. Depending on the model, the target speeds range from about 80 km/h to 150 km/h. Precision, faithful flying, and the fascination of historical seaplanes make the Schneider Trophy truly special.
Visitors are warmly welcomed. Also, seaplane pilots with other models are invited to attend the flying day, bring their planes, and share the enthusiasm for flying on water together!
