On Friday, August 7, 2026, at 7.00 p.m., the Ausseer Kammerhofmuseum cordially invites you to the finissage of the special exhibition “1945 – End of the War in the Ausseerland”.

Finissage of the special exhibition "1945 – End of War at the Location Ausseerland"

Under the motto "Final Reflection of a Special Exhibition", visitors can expect an evening of discussion with the curators and members of the museum team. Together, they will look back on the exhibition and discuss its content, impact, and sustainability.

The special exhibition illuminates the last months of World War II in Ausseerland – from the so-called "Alpine Fortress" to the art camp in the Salt Mine Altaussee and the American occupation, as well as the events of the post-war period. Due to great interest, the exhibition has been extended until August 9, 2026, before it will be dismantled on August 10.
