Concert Heart Tones
The Atalante Quartet and musicians of the Bruckner Orchestra present a diverse chamber music program featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonín Dvořák, Anton Bruckner, and other significant composers.
A benefit concert evening full of musical diversity and interpretative quality in the parish church of Grundlsee.
Music and Medicine
What do classical music and medicine, especially cardiology, have in common? Music undoubtedly has positive effects on health. It lowers heart rate and blood pressure, calms breathing, and reduces stress hormones, as recent studies show.
For example, listening to Baroque music is beneficial for the heart and circulation. This is the result of research conducted by a group led by cardiologist Hans-Joachim Trappe from the Marien Hospital in Herne. In particular, compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Sebastian Bach have positive effects on cardiovascular diseases.
Listening to these pieces of music leads to the dilation of blood vessels and reduction of blood pressure. Further scientific studies indicated that these pieces lower blood pressure and heart rate in a manner similar to medications. Works that flow quietly and smoothly are especially suitable for therapy.
Musicians from the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and the Atalante Quartet invite you to enjoy and recharge with their concert in the Parish Church of Grundlsee .
Admission is on a voluntary donation basis. Proceeds benefit the Mountain Rescue Grundlsee.
