Information
Families and groups are warmly welcome at the new youth guesthouse Tauplitzalm.
The former 4-star hotel, completely renovated in 2019, is located at 1,650 m directly in the Tauplitz ski area. No ski bus, no waiting, just strap on your skis or snowboard right at the house and go.
The Tauplitz, with its 43 kilometers of ski slopes (blue: 18 km, red: 19 km, black: 6 km) reaches an elevation of 1,965 m, making it the largest single ski area in Styria. The heart of the ski area is the beautiful and car-free Tauplitzalm.
Whether beginner or expert, young or old: there is something for everyone in terms of slopes. For example, the 8-seater gondola Mitterstein offers sporty descents, while the wide and less steep slopes at Lawinenstein and Schneiderkogel are more suitable for leisurely skiers.
Freeride fans will also get their money's worth here. There are numerous lines of all lengths and varying degrees of steepness. The terrain is very diverse and leaves little to be desired. The Tauplitz is one of the snowiest regions in the Alps. Modern snow-making facilities also ensure that the winter season lasts until after Easter.
After the slopes, relaxation in the cozy and spacious rooms or in the 400 m² wellness area with the panorama indoor pool (6x12 meters) and the Swiss stone pine panorama sauna is guaranteed. A wonderful (ski) day can also end in the bar or in the cozy Swiss stone pine lounge.

The approach is from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road. (toll required)
In summer, you can drive up to the accommodation. In winter, the car must be left at the large parking lot at Tauplitzalm.
The walking distance to the accommodation is approximately 1.5 kilometers. Luggage will be transported to the accommodation.
