Information
The cozy self-catering cabin accommodates up to 14 people and is ideally located right in the middle of the Tauplitzalm, the largest high plateau of lakes in Central Europe. Surrounded by the impressive mountain world of the Dead Mountains, the cabin is the perfect starting point for various recreational activities.
With a living space of 120 m² , the Popphütte includes a cozy living room with seating and a well-equipped kitchen featuring an electric stove, dishwasher, and a traditional tiled stove. The cabin offers a total of three four-bed rooms and one twin room .
Additional amenities include satellite TV, radio, two showers, four washbasins, and two toilets. A ski storage room and an electric shoe dryer provide extra comfort. Central heating ensures a pleasant warmth.
The Tauplitzalm is distinguished by its unique location and is particularly attractive for hikers who want to enjoy the mountain panorama and the diversity of flowers. The 6-Lake Hike passes directly by the cabin.
In winter, the slopes offer skiers diverse descents. Additionally, the high-altitude cross-country ski trail invites sports activities amidst harmonious nature.

<p>Conditions</p>
The Tauplitzalm can be reached from Bad Mitterndorf via the Tauplitzalm Alpine Road (toll required).
In summer, you can drive up to the hut. In winter, the car must be left at the parking lot on the Tauplitzalm. You will be picked up by the landlord and taken to the hut.

via the A10 Tauernautobahn, take the Eben exit, continue on the B99 in the direction of Hüttau, past St. Martin am Tennengebirge to Rußbach and Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
