Welcome to Haus Frey, a vacation accommodation in the heart of Altaussee.
Haus Frey is located by a small stream right at the entrance to the hiking trail to the idyllic Blaa-Alm. It is only a five-minute walk from the town center with a bakery and spa, as well as a ten-minute walk from the public bathing area at the Altausseer See.
Haus Frey is surrounded by green meadows. From the windows, there is an unobstructed view of the most beautiful Altaussee mountains, the Loser, the Trisselwand, and the Sandling. The Loser ski area is only five minutes away by car, and the bus station is just a few steps away. We offer four rental units, three of which are cozy holiday apartments and one studio.
Haus Frey has a terrace and borders a meadow that can be used by guests. Several bicycles are also available for guests.
There are free parking options around the house in private and public parking lots.
The house was once a blacksmith's shop, and the old workshop with its historic flair is completely preserved.
Haus Frey offers ideal conditions for a sporty and relaxed vacation at any time of the year – hiking in the Dead Mountains in summer, swimming, mountain biking, and jogging around the lake; in winter, skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, tobogganing, or snowshoe hiking. Nearby is the show mine Salzwelten Altaussee, one of the most famous tourist attractions in the region. Ausseerland offers a rich cultural program throughout the year.

via the A1 Westautobahn, take the Regau exit as far as Gmunden, continue on the B145 as far as Bad Ischl, turn off into Ausseerland/Liezen

via the Tauernautobahn A10, exit at Golling, continue on B162 in the direction of Lammertal, past Abtenau to Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
from direction Carinthia
via the A10 Tauernautobahn, take the Eben exit, continue on the B99 in the direction of Hüttau, past St. Martin am Tennengebirge to Rußbach and Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
