Apartment House Kristall – Vacation in the Heart of Nature
Enjoy relaxing vacation days in a quiet, sunny location with a magnificent panoramic view over Tauplitz. The Apartment House Kristall is directly at the valley descent of the Tauplitz and is the ideal starting point for active days in the mountains, in winter as well as in summer.
In line with the motto “Out of bed and onto the slopes,” you will stay right next to the ski slope and reach the valley station of the 4-seater chairlift to the Tauplitzalm in just a few minutes. A bakery, a sports shop, restaurants, a bank, and the information office with integrated postal services are also within comfortable walking distance.
The three cozy and spacious apartments offer space for couples, families, and small groups. Fully equipped kitchens, living areas to relax, and some balconies create the perfect base for an independent vacation at your own pace.
Our guests particularly appreciate the combination of freedom and personal service: you enjoy the privacy of your own apartment while also having the option to take advantage of the amenities of the Hotel Seebacherhof, which is only two kilometers away. Upon request, breakfast or dinner can be flexibly added.

How it all began – hosts with passion
Some houses are built. Others grow with the people who put their whole passion into them. The Kristall apartments are part of such a story.
When Heinz and Gundi Seebacher laid the foundation for their house in Tauplitz in the early 1970s, there was originally no thought of a hotel or tourist business. With a lot of diligence, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit, a building was initially created that was primarily intended for the painting of the senior manager. But life had other plans.
A spontaneous idea became a basement bar in 1974 – the first step into gastronomy. During a time of tourist upswing, this gradually developed into a meeting place. The first guest rooms were created, the breakfast offering was expanded, a restaurant was established, and from a small family business, the present-day Seebacherhof grew step by step.
What has not changed over all these decades is the philosophy of the Seebacher family: to welcome people and provide them with a good time. With a lot of personal commitment, warmth, and love for detail, the business was continuously developed and handed over to the next generation.
Today, Mario Seebacher continues this tradition together with his family. Alongside the Seebacherhof, modern holiday apartments were created with the Kristall apartments for guests who appreciate freedom, comfort, and privacy, but do not want to miss out on personal hospitality.
The Kristall apartments are therefore more than just a holiday residence. They are part of a family story that has been marked by passion, down-to-earth quality, and genuine hospitality for decades. A place to arrive, feel good, and enjoy – amidst the impressive nature of the Ausseerland.
