The center of Bad Aussee and the train station are reachable within just a few minutes on foot. Thanks to the central location, the communities Grundlsee and Altaussee can be reached in just ten minutes by car. Popular destinations such as the Ödensee or Hallstatt are very close by. The UNESCO World Heritage site Hallstatt can be reached in a 25-minute train ride followed by a boat trip. Bad Ischl is about a 30-minute drive away.

via the Tauernautobahn A10, exit at Golling, continue on B162 in the direction of Lammertal, past Abtenau to Gosau, continue to Lake Hallstättersee on the B166, keep left in the direction of Bad Goisern, turn onto the B145 in the direction of Bad Aussee/Liezen
