In the parish church of Altaussee, an early mass is held during Advent in a quiet atmosphere and warm candlelight.
The Roman Catholic parish church in Altaussee is located in the district of Fischerndorf, in close proximity to Altausseer See. It was dedicated to Saint Aegidius. Holy Mass takes place on Sundays. For special occasions, especially during Advent or at Easter, additional services are held in the parish church.
During the Advent season, early in the morning before sunrise, there is an invitation to the Rorate Mass in the Church of Altaussee. A special early church service in candlelight awaits the visitors. Musically, this hour is a delight, as Altaussee and the entire Ausseerland have many musical groups that accompany this special mass.
In the morning hours, the mass in the parish church becomes a special experience thanks to candle lighting and musical accompaniment.
