Kumitz shepherds' play ‘Die Wunder-Rumpl’
The traditional Kumitzer shepherd's play, performed by the young amateur actors of the parish Maria Kumitz, together with the atmospheric Advent market and the contemplative Advent singing, creates a pre-Christmas atmosphere. In the multipurpose hall Knoppen, living customs from Bad Mitterndorf and the Ausseerland-Salzkammergut are tangible and the anticipation of Christmas is awakened.
With great heart, commitment, and enthusiasm, the youthful amateur actors of the Parish Maria Kumitz bring the traditional Kumitzer Shepherd's Play to the stage at the Multipurpose Hall Knoppen. With their acting talent and joy in playing together, they bring the Christmas story to life and create an atmospheric setting that touches the audience.
Deeply rooted in the lived customs of the Ausseerland Salzkammergut, the Kumitzer Shepherd's Play is a valuable part of the regional Christmas tradition. The young performers impressively demonstrate how tradition is passed down from one generation to the next while remaining vibrant.
In Bad Mitterndorf, a piece of regional culture is maintained that wonderfully connects community, solidarity, and the special magic of the Christmas season.
