175 years of Salinenmusik Altaussee

The brass band of Altaussee is celebrating a special anniversary in 2027. The Salinenmusikkapelle Altaussee was founded 175 years ago. On this occasion, a festival will be held in the Loser community.

175 years and still going strong.

Due to the 175th anniversary, the traditional music band invites you to a grand anniversary weekend in Altaussee on the second weekend of June.  The festival area is located at the Fischererfelder, where in the autumn the Altausseer Kirtags beer tent is also set up.  

Together with friendly music bands, music enthusiasts, and guests from near and far, this special anniversary aims to become a celebration of brass music, tradition, and camaraderie.

This anniversary 175 years Salinenmusikkapelle Altaussee is a special occasion that the Berigmusi would like to celebrate together with our musical companions and the local community.

Work is actively underway on the supporting program for the anniversary weekend. The following details are already known:

FRIDAY, 11.06.2026:
Concert by the Military Band of Styria, followed by a concert by the Salinenmusik Altaussee and a cozy wind-down

SATURDAY, 12.06.2026:
District Music Festival, starting in the early afternoon, march/parade of the guest bands, festive act, guest concerts, and evening entertainment with the MK Jainzen, SMK Hall in Tirol, and MK Straßen

SUNDAY, 13.06.2026:
"Miner's Day" 880 years of salt mining in Altaussee
Starting in the morning, march/parade of the guest bands, especially the five salt music bands, festive act in the morning, guest concerts, and a cozy close in the later afternoon
