Where is the home to probably the most famous horses in the world? Of course the Lipizzaner stud farm Piber. You can feel the love for horses here and tradition is lived in all its facets. During daily guided tours, you will learn all about the breeding, keeping and history of the white horses in an exciting way from the horse professionals.
Surrounded by lush meadows and green forests, the home of Europe's oldest cultural horse race is set against a fantastic backdrop. As the only federal stud farm in Austria, Piber has the task of breeding those Lipizzaner stallions that appear in the world-famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
The heart of the Lipizzaner breeding is the mare's herd with its black, brown and mouse-grey foals. The "imperial white horse" can be admired in all its facets during stud farm tours, horse-drawn carriage rides or during the summer retreat on the alpine pastures.
