CALL FOR MODELS

The selected individuals will be invited to individual photoshoots depending on the theme, season, and planned production.

The photoshoots will take place in the Erzberg-Leoben tourism region. Depending on the production, the photos may feature, e.g outdoor activities, sports and recreational offerings, tourist attractions, events, accommodation and dining establishments, or everyday situations in the region.

Since many photoshoots take place outdoors, specific dates may depend in particular on the weather, season, lighting conditions, and operational circumstances.

Acceptance into the model pool does not constitute a binding commitment to a photoshoot. For individual productions, the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association will issue a separate request. The date, estimated duration, location, content of the shoot, and other conditions will be coordinated prior to each shoot.

There is no entitlement to selection, acceptance into the model pool, or a specific number of assignments.

Whenever possible, the models will be officially registered with the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association for the duration of their respective assignments during the photo shoot. Registration is conducted for the specific assignment period and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

For their work, the models will receive the previously agreed-upon compensation. Billing and payment will be handled by the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association based on the actual time worked. The models are not required to issue a separate invoice or fee statement.

Hourly rate: € 25,00

Before making a binding commitment to a specific shoot, the planned duration of the assignment, the location, the agreed-upon hourly rate, and other terms and conditions will be communicated.

Travel costs, travel time, expenses, or other out-of-pocket costs are included in the hourly rate.

Note: The compensation paid for modeling work is subject to the applicable tax and social security regulations. The specific tax treatment may depend, in particular, on the individual model’s personal income and employment situation. Any personal tax obligations must be handled by the model themselves.

Interested individuals can submit an informal application consisting of

• a recent photo and
• information about their availability (weekdays/weekends, mornings/afternoons, mornings/evenings, specific dates, etc.) as well as
• a brief assessment of their physical fitness and which activities and “adventures” they are comfortable with—such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, or other outdoor experiences, sightseeing, culinary experiences and local products, or other excursion activities—by email to office@erzberg-leoben.at by September 30th.

No professional application or modeling portfolio is required for the application; a recent, natural-looking photo is sufficient.

After the application deadline has passed, all applications received will be reviewed internally.

Applicants who meet the criteria established for the model pool will be added to the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association’s internal model pool. Once the selection process is complete, all applicants will be notified by email whether they have been accepted into the model pool.

Inclusion in the model pool does not constitute a binding commitment to a specific assignment and does not entitle the applicant to a certain number of photo shoots.

For individual productions, suitable candidates from the model pool will be selected based on the specific requirements of the shoot and contacted directly. In particular, factors such as the theme and visual style of the production, age or age group, the composition of a family or group, planned activity, location, availability, and the desired diversity within the respective production may be taken into account.

Specific participation in a photoshoot will be coordinated and agreed upon separately with the selected individuals on a case-by-case basis.

The photos and videos taken during the photoshoots will be used to promote the Erzberg-Leoben adventure region as a tourist destination. The material may be used regionally, nationally, and, where applicable, internationally, as well as through various communication channels—for example, on websites, on social media, in online campaigns, in print materials, in press and public relations efforts, in presentations, on promotional materials, in outdoor advertising, and in digital out-of-home campaigns.

For this purpose, the footage may also be made available to higher-level and local tourism organizations—such as Österreich Werbung, Steiermark Tourismus, and regional and local tourism partners—and used by them to promote the region as a tourist destination.

Participation is dependent on the signing of a separate consent and usage agreement. In this agreement, the models consent—to the extent permitted by law and as agreed—to the recording, editing, publication, distribution, and promotional use of the resulting material and grant the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association the necessary rights of use, including the right to share the material with the above-mentioned tourism organizations and partners. The specific terms of use will be provided in writing to the selected models prior to the photo shoot.

The personal data submitted as part of the application will be processed by the Erzberg-Leoben Tourism Association exclusively for the purpose of conducting the selection process, for contacting applicants in connection with the planned photo shoots, and—provided the appropriate consent has been given—for inclusion in a model pool for future productions.

The data processed may include, in particular, name, age or year of birth, contact information, place of residence, submitted photos, and any additional information voluntarily provided.

Application data will be made available exclusively to those individuals who require it for the organization and selection of models. To the extent necessary for conducting a specific photoshoot, required information may also be shared—following the selection process—with service providers commissioned for the production, in particular photographers, agencies, or production partners.

Any further disclosure will only occur if there is a corresponding legal basis for doing so.

Application materials from individuals who are not selected or not included in a model pool will be deleted upon completion of the selection process in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, provided there is no legal obligation or other legal basis for further retention.

Long-term storage for future modeling requests will only take place on an appropriate legal basis or after obtaining the necessary consent.
