Moderately difficult circular hike from Rantenl, via Freiberg and Hinterberg. Here you can also take a short detour to the Draunigl summit on foot.
Discover the community of Ranten from all its perspectives and explore one or two “geimplatzerl”. In terms of landscape, this is an excellent tour where you can explore the town and really enjoy the view.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive to Murau. At the double roundabout in Murau, keep right and follow the road to Ranten.

Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Stadl an der Mur to Murau. At the double roundabout in Murau, keep left and follow the road to Ranten.

The starting point of this tour is Freiberg. You always follow the route straight until you get to Vorderbach. Here you turn left and walk over the Rantenbichl to the center of Ranten. Along the main road, the path turns right and leads via Anger and Schalch right onto the Draunigl. Here you walk straight along the path again to the starting point.
There are also one or two places to stop for refreshments in the town of Ranten.
