This versatile route begins at the Sport Mandl car park in Gröbming and runs peacefully alongThis diverse loop tour starts at the Sport Mandl parking area in Gröbming and leads via Moosheim along the Enns Cycle Path R7 to Pruggern and Aich. After the river landscape, a steady climb follows via Assach to the scenic Assacher Scharte and continues along the panoramic road up to the Stoderzinken.

From Salzburg:
Take the A10 Tauern Motorway to Altenmarkt, then continue on the B320 towards Liezen. Take the Gröbming exit and follow the road into the town center. The Sport Mandl car park is an ideal starting point. Alternatively, you may use one of the public parking areas in Gröbming – please observe local parking regulations. -> Link

From Graz:
Take the A9 to Liezen, then follow the B320 in the direction of Schladming. Exit at Gröbming and head into the town center. The Sport Mandl car park is well suited as a starting point. Public parking areas are also available in the village – please respect local parking regulations. -> Link

The tour starts at the Sport Mandl parking area in Gröbming and first heads south towards Moosheim, crossing the Enns bridge, then turning left towards Michaelerberg and right onto the Enns Cycle Path R7 towards Pruggern. This section is pleasantly flat and quiet – perfect for warming up. In Pruggern, cross the Enns at Bierfriedl and continue on the north side of the river towards Aich.

In Aich, the sporty part of the tour begins with a right turn. From here, climb uphill to Assach and further to the impressive Assacher Scharte, where you are rewarded with stunning views over the Enns Valley. Once you reach the asphalt road towards Stoder, turn left and tackle the final section up to the Stoderzinken. At the top, cozy inns await – perfect for a well-deserved break with great views. The return follows the asphalt road downhill back to Gröbming.

Cycling is only permitted from April 15 to October 31 – daily from 2 hours after sunrise until 1 hour before sunset.
  • At the Rosemi-Alm, it’s recommended to leave your bike and walk the final 2 km to the Friedenskircherl. From this peaceful chapel, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Schladminger Tauern, the Dachstein massif, and the Grimming.
  • Plan breaks: Along the route, many huts and inns invite you to stop for a relaxing break and enjoy regional specialties.
  • E-mountain bike: With electric support, the tour is also suitable for less experienced bikers. There are several e-bike charging stations along the route. Their locations can be seen on the map and in the elevation profile, making it easy to plan your tour and possible charging stops.
Arrival by train to "Gröbming train station" (3km from the village) or "Pruggern train station". Access to the tour is possible from both stations in a short distance.
