Quiet MTB tour from Donnersbachwald to the Lärchkar and Stallaalm with natural trail sections.
This idyllic tour starts in Donnersbachwald and leads along quiet roads and a peaceful shared singletrail towards the Lärchkaralm.
Away from the crowds, you can enjoy calm forests, beautiful alpine pastures, and a cozy stop at the Lärchkaralm.
Ideal for riders looking for nature and tranquility.
Riding is only permitted during the following times to protect wildlife:
- May 15 to August 31 from 08.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m.
- September 1 to September 30 from 08.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.
- The path from Lärchkaralm to Stallaalm can only be used until the end of the 1st week of September.

From Salzburg, take the B150 and B160 to the A10 towards Graz/Villach. At Altenmarkt, switch to the B320 towards Liezen, then continue via L735, L734, and the B75, before turning off towards Donnersbachwald.
From Graz, take the B67 to the A9 towards Salzburg and exit onto the B320 at Selzthal. Follow the B320 towards Liezen and then take the exit onto the B75 towards Donnersbach. Continue on the B75 and turn off towards Donnersbachwald.

You start at the parking area in the center of Donnersbachwald and ride past the leisure area towards Strobl. Continue on quiet roads via Jagerpeter to the small hydropower plant at Lärchkarbach and further to Hinterwald.
From Hinterwald, a shared singletrail begins, leading you through peaceful surroundings to just before the Lärchkaralm. Then switch to a forest road and reach the Lärchkaralm, followed shortly by the Stallaalm.
For the return, follow the route via the Weichboldhütte back towards the valley. Passing Dorfschenke, Schaupphof, and Sagbauer, you return to Donnersbachwald and the starting point.
From Hinterwald, a shared singletrail begins, leading you through peaceful surroundings to just before the Lärchkaralm. Then switch to a forest road and reach the Lärchkaralm, followed shortly by the Stallaalm.
For the return, follow the route via the Weichboldhütte back towards the valley. Passing Dorfschenke, Schaupphof, and Sagbauer, you return to Donnersbachwald and the starting point.
- Plan breaks: Along the route, many huts and inns invite you to stop for a relaxing break and enjoy regional specialties.
- E-mountain bike: With electric support, the tour is also suitable for less experienced bikers. There are several e-bike charging stations along the route. Their locations can be seen on the map and in the elevation profile, making it easy to plan your tour and possible charging stops.

From there, go to the bus stop and take bus line 941 towards Riesneralm to Donnersbachwald Ort. Then walk the last few meters to the center of Donnersbachwald.
