You can be sure of a long day if you hike along the Salt Trail 09 into the Ranzenkar.

A full-day hike along the Gulling and the Mittereggbach to the Ranzenkar and back again. The challenge of this tour lies less in the difficulty of the route or the elevation gain to be covered, but rather in its length.

Coming from Liezen, turn left in Wörschach and follow the signs to Aigen/Ennstal. In Aigen drive through the village and shortly before the end sign, turn left and park your car at the large gravel parking lot. Coming from Schladming, follow the signs to Irdning/Aigen at the Trautenfels intersection.

Direction Bauhof and about 6 kilometers along the Gulling to Bachwirt. Then follow the Mittereggbach stream to the Ranzenkar. Tip: Continue on trail 09 via Plannerknot to the Planneralm or to the Hochrettlstein.

Way number: 11

With the train to the trainstation ,,Stainach'' or ,,Liezen'' and with the bus 940 to ,,Aigen im Ennstal''.
