On a forest road and an old alpine path, the route leads uphill to this delightful little cauldron in the midst of alpine slopes. After a refreshment, definitely also up to the Michelirlingsee or also on the Hühnereck. It is worth it.

From the Ennstalbundesstraße (B320) turn off at the Trautenfels junction in the direction of Irdning, Donnersbach, Donnersbachwald. Through the village of Donnersbach and another 10 km to Donnersbachwald. Approx. 800 m after the tunnel turn left to Perweinfarm.

The tour starts at the chapel above the Perweinhfarm, where you can also park. It runs alternately on forest roads and forest paths. Follow the markings, past the Plotscheralm, up to the Michelirlingalm. Here also runs a stage of two long-distance hiking trails no. 02 and 09.

From the Michelirlingalm you have the possibility to continue hiking, to the right of the alp, first across a meadow, then over a steep path up to the Michelirlingsee (20 min). From there, turn right again in the direction of Hühnereck (30 min). The summit can already be seen from below.

To the left of the alpine pasture, after the plain, a path goes uphill in the direction of Schoberspitze (1 hr.).

There is no managed hut at the top. But for an enjoyable rest with self-brought snack you will always find a fine place here.

With the bus 941 to th bus stop ,,Perweinhof''. Near there is the start point. No Busconections during summerholidays.
