Sporty MTB tour at Hauser Kaibling with a gondola ride and a challenging climb.
This varied tour starts comfortably with the 8-person gondola at Hauser Kaibling, followed by a demanding gravel climb.
The last 200 meters before the transmission mast are especially steep and rough, requiring good fitness and riding skills. In return, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views and a detour to the Kaiblingalm and the reservoir.
The tour can also be combined with the Gumpental Loop or the Kaibling Loop.
The ascent is made with the 8-seater gondola lift at Hauser Kaibling:
MTB signage is being further improvedThroughout 2026, we continue to improve and standardize our MTB signage system. As part of this process, existing signposts are being adjusted, locations are being optimized, and some route numbers are being updated.
During this transition period, there may occasionally be minor differences in the signage on site. Thank you for your understanding – these improvements will create a clearer and more user-friendly guidance system for your bike experience.

You start with the ascent on the 8-person gondola to Hauser Kaibling. From the top, follow a gravel road that climbs steadily in several switchbacks. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
The closer you get to the transmission mast, the more demanding the climb becomes. Especially the last 200 meters are very steep and rough, requiring a strong final effort.
Afterwards, a detour to the Kaiblingalm and the nearby reservoir is well worth it, offering great views.
For the descent, you have two options: either enjoy the long ride all the way down into the valley, or descend only part of the way and then join the Gumpental Loop, which takes you back to the top station.
