Comfortable hike from the mountain village of St. Nikolai along the meanders of the Bräualm to the Kreuzsteg with a magnificent view of the Dürrmoos waterfall.

The Dürrmoos waterfall is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Sölktäler Nature Park.

From the A10: turn off at Altenmarkt (exit 63) in the direction of Graz. Follow the B99 to Radstadt. Here take the B320 towards Graz. At Pruggern follow the signs to the nature park.
From the A9: turn off at Selzthal (exit 69) towards Liezen/Radstadt. From Liezen follow the B320 to Espang. There turn towards Niederöblarn/Naturpark Söltäler.

For the hike: In the center of Stein an der Enns turn towards St. Nikolai and drive 18 km to St. Nikolai - parking spaces on the outskirts of the village.

From the mountain village of St. Nikolai in the Sölktal, the trail leads past a small store, the church and the last houses. At the barrier turn left and follow the forest road towards Bräualm. After 1km you reach the pasture area of the Bräualm.

The Bräualmbach meanders through the area of the Bräualm in several bends. To the right of the Bräualmbach the buildings of the Bräualm appear. The path leads further into the valley to the crossing of the Bräualmbach at the Kreuzsteg. On a bench you can enjoy the peace and the view of the Dürrmoos waterfall.

The water nature trail along the way to the Bräualm provides information about the diversity of the water habitat, including natural refrigerators.

Valley bus from July 11 to September 13, 2026 - this makes crossings in the Sölktäler Nature Park possible. You can also travel comfortably by train and the valley bus will take you to the starting point of your hike. Click here for the timetable.
