Varied MTB loop from Aich with the Jumper Trail, Gumpenberg, and the Styrian Bodensee.

This tour combines long climbs with varied descents and leads through beautiful alpine terrain to the Styrian Bodensee.
Highlights include the Jumper Trail in Weißenbach and the descent from Galsterberg. The return follows the Enns cycle path back to Aich.

The singletrack is subject to a fee (€5), but free with the Schladming-Dachstein Card.

Riding is permitted from April to August between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, and from September to October between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

From Salzburg: Follow the A10 to Altenmarkt. There join the B320 and continue in the direction of Liezen. Take the Aich exit and continue to the village centre.

From Graz: Follow the A9 to Liezen. Join the B320 and continue in the direction of Schladming. Take the Aich exit and continue to the village centre.

You start at the village square in Aich and first ride across the Enns towards Weißenbach. There, you reach the Jumper Trail, which offers a varied descent. The trail costs €5 but is free with the Schladming-Dachstein Card.

After the descent, you return across the Enns to Ruperting. Here, the longer climb up to Gumpenberg begins. Via the Gumpental, the route continues uphill towards the Styrian Bodensee.

At the lake, it’s a perfect spot for a break or a quick refresh. Then follow the asphalt road towards Gössenberg and continue on to Galsterberg.

From Galsterberg, a fast descent leads down to Pruggern. From there, follow the Enns cycle path back to the starting point at the village square in Aich.

Always wear a helmet and appropriate clothing.
Ride only on paved and signposted paths.
Watch out for traffic at crossroads and road junctions!
Be considerate and give way.
Avoid blocking the rear wheel and thus help to maintain the paths.
Control your speed downhill!
Protect the environment and don't leave rubbish, etc. in the mountains!

The right bike: mountain bike or gravel bike with studded tyres, racing bikes are not recommended.

Breakdowns can happen - but rarely at the doorstep of one of the numerous service points: a basic kit of tools and accessories therefore never hurts! Spare inner tube and/or repair kit, universal spanner, air pump, brake and shift cable, as well as a screwdriver can never hurt.

Plan breaks: Along the route, many huts and inns invite you to stop for a relaxing break and enjoy regional specialties.
E-mountain bike: With electric support, the tour is also suitable for less experienced bikers. There are several e-bike charging stations along the route. Their locations can be seen on the map and in the elevation profile, making it easy to plan your tour and possible charging stops.

Take the train to the station Aich/Assach, the station is located directly in the village centre at the starting point.
