Musik club Pruggern

Since its founding in 1928, the Musikverein Pruggern has been led by 8 chairpersons and 10 conductors. 48 active musicians aged between 11 and 70 years are part of the music association.The first outfit with the 'Archduke Johann costume' took place in 1957. Before that, they performed in private clothing or, from 1953, in firefighter uniforms.Since 1971, an annual wish concert has been held. For 10 years, this took place alternately in the inns of the municipality of Pruggern and Michaelerberg, after which it was moved to the Cultural Hall Gröbming due to great audience interest.The musical achievements of the music association have been recognized by the state of Styria and the Styrian Brass Music Association with the award of 4 'Styrian Panthers' and 3 'Robert Stolz Prizes'!
