The GRUBER-BÜHNE Ramsau began in 2006 with "Alice in the Dachstein Wonderland" (based on the books by Lewis Carroll) at the Gruber-Tenn at the Gruberstube in Ramsau am Dachstein. The fact that four of the ten actors bore the surname Gruber was pure coincidence – but not an inappropriate one. This was followed by another 17 productions (Moliere, Peter Hacks, Ferdinand Raimund, Herzmanovsky-Orlando, Georg Büchner, cabaret, etc.) with approximately 150 performances at over 20 venues (Gruber-Tenn, Heimatmuseum 'Zeitros' in Ramsau, Klangfilmtheater Schladming, Theatertage Weißenbach, CCW Stainach, Ramsau Protestant Church). In 2015, the GRUBER-BÜHNE Ramsau represented Styria at the Austrian Amateur Theatre Festival in Haag (Lower Austria) with "Alpenkönig und Mänschenfeind" (Alpine King and Misanthrope).
