Filming Location - Silberkarklamm

The gorge in the heart of the Dachstein massif has often served as the backdrop for exciting rescue missions. With its steep rock faces, rushing waterfalls and picturesque landscape, it is perfect for this. Several scenes have also been filmed on the Hias via ferrata - one of the 3 via ferratas in the Silberkarklamm gorge. But instead of just admiring the gorge on screen, you should definitely experience it for yourself and hike through it!

The hiking trail leads over steps and wooden walkways up to the Silberkarhütte mountain hut. After a leisurely stop for refreshments, the steep and bumpy ascent to the small and beautiful Silberkarsee lake is worthwhile for those who still have some energy left.

The Silberkarklamm gorge offers three first-class via ferratas: Hias, Rosina and Siega are their names and, with difficulty levels from A to D, offer the right adventure for every ability.
