Cross-country skiing in Untertal

The skating trails in Untertal are among the easiest skating trails in the Schladming-Dachstein region. The trails in Untertal are ideal for connoisseurs.

The Tetter Moor XC Skating Trail particularly suitable for beginners who have just started skating. The majority of the trail runs on flat terrain with no significant ascents or descents. Only the ascent to Gasthof Tetter and the descent from there to Tettermoor are moderately difficult sections.

The Almenrunde XC Skating Trail owes its name to the numerous alpine pastures on the Untertal valley floor and is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing beginners who have just started skating. The majority of the trail runs on very flat terrain with only very slight ascents and descents. Only the loop around the Angereralm is a moderately difficult section with a short, steep ascent and a somewhat steeper, also short, descent.

The marvellous view of the mountain giants of the Klafferkessel, the icy gullies of the "Ofnach" on the left-hand side and the crystal-clear waters of the Untertalbach stream, the Kristallloipe classic XC trail is without exaggeration one of the most beautiful trails in the region and a real pleasure trail. Especially on cold winter mornings, it becomes clear where the trail gets its name from.
