As a quiet gem with centuries-old history, the rectory ensemble, together with the Johannes Chapel and the parish church, forms the cultural and spiritual heart of Pürgg.
Along with the St. John's Chapel and the parish church, the rectory complex is the third great jewel in Pürgg, whose origins date back to the 11th and 12th centuries. The Pürgg Association has made it its mission to preserve the building and bring it to life, not only through weddings, family celebrations, and seminars, but above all through cultural events, such as the popular annual Rauhnacht concert.
