Gröbminger Land

The Öblarn stone cellar displays unique finds from archaeological excavations.

Since 1997, Günther Demski's geological/mineralogical exhibition has been on display in the vaulted cellar of the Verweserhaus or Herrschaftsamt, which was built in 1565.

A large part of the exhibition is dedicated to the Walchental valley. The mining industry, which was once important for Öblarn, is presented there from a historical and geological perspective. Another focus of the collection is Öblarn marble and minerals.
